Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Heart’s Halo granny square is a beautiful way to add a touch of love to your crochet projects. This granny square features a charming heart motif at the center, outlined with a raised contrasting color for a stunning 3D effect.
With its blend of single, half-double, double, and treble crochet stitches, this pattern is perfect for advanced beginners looking to challenge their skills and explore new techniques. The raised outline is created by working in the back stitch of the half-double crochet, giving the heart a unique halo-like frame.
Measuring 7.5 inches wide by 7 inches tall, this granny square is versatile and works up wonderfully in three complementary colors. You can combine several of these squares to create heartfelt blankets, cushions, or even a festive Valentine’s Day cardigan.
Whether you’re crafting for yourself or creating a handmade gift for someone special, this square will add warmth and love to your project. Let’s dive into the pattern and bring this lovely design to life!
It may take me a few months to get this pattern completely written out according to common standards but it is written in plain English below as well as my own shorthand. I’ll also be working on a diagram. In the mean time, the video has detailed instructions.
